The World Bank has exposed three former Nigerian leaders, five military chiefs, and 13 top government officials, who allegedly stole about N9.13 trillion ($58.9 billion) in a list released on Monday.
Among them are former Head Of State IBB, a former Chief of General Staff, ex-Defence Minister, two former Chiefs of Army Staff, a one-time Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister under a military regime, a former National Security Adviser, and a former CBN governor.
Also on the list are two sons of former Head of State Gen. Sanni Abacha, a Chief Security Officer (CSO) to a former Head of State, two former Ministers of Petroleum, former Finance Minister, former Transport Minister, ex-Special Duties Minister, ex-External Affairs Minister, a former Power and Steel Minister and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
The list contains details of the loot with the largest lodgement being $24.66 billion (about N4 trillion) belonging to former leader General Ibrahim Babangida, who was said to have developed a desert in Monaco to a small city with Nigeria money as part of his private investment, Build refineries just like Obasanjo did in some African countries and keep fixed deposit which runs in Billions and generate more than a million dollar (155 Million naira)daily as interest for fix deposit.

While citizens still swim in abject poverty, not sure of where the next meal will come from, others store up the country’s wealth in foreign bank accounts, saving up for their generations to come. Only God can deliver us from the hands of the greedy and evil ones.
