Soulja Boy buys himself new private jet as birthday gift

Soulja Boy has celebrated his 21st birthday in style, snapping up a $55 million private G5 jet. The rapper, who rose to fame with his 2007 debut album 'Souljaboytellem.com',  also threw himself an exclusive birthday bash on Friday (29th July 2011).

Soulja Boy, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, splashed out $35 million on the jet but has ambitious plans to spend an additional $20 million on extras. His management claim the rapper will add 12 custom Italian leather seats, flat screen TV's, 4 liquor bars, a special travertine tiled floor and Brazilian hardwood cabinets. He is also removing the jet's in-flight lavatory and replacing it with a luxurious bathroom. The G5 will also undergo a complete paint job, complete with the rapper's logo emblazoned on the side. In addition, Soulja is also spending $300,000 to throw himself a "blowout birthday party" at a Miami nightclub tonight, with the likes of Bow Wow, Dwight Howard and Sean Kingston all expected to attend.

Soulja Boy released his third studio album 'The DeAndre Way' on 27th November 2010. The record sold just 13,360 copies in its first week - a significant drop from his two previous efforts.
