The rise in auto mobile accidents on the Lagos metropolis has become something to be concerned about as one of Nigeria’s fastest rising acts, Maye Hunta survived a fatal accident that left his car badly damaged few days back along Oshodi road in Lagos. He was in the car with his crew and fellow artiste, Steel. We can recall that some other artistes just like him have either lost their lives or survived such accidents, Dagrin (R.I.P), Terry G, just to mention a few
According to him, he was going for Global Excellence Couple’s Night when his Dodge Caravan, which was driven by his manager, rammed into a car in front of them. Unfortunately, the car belongs to another fellow artiste, Minjin who was also going for the Global Excellence show alongside the Kennis Music crew.
Recalling how the ugly incident happened, Maye said it was a convoy of four cars and they were all going for the same event. “It was raining heavily and we were in a convoy with three other cars which included Kenny Ogungbe and Minjin. Minjin’s car hit the bus in front of him and mine too rammed into his. We’ve towed the car to my mechanic workshop”.
Maye, eventually couldn’t make it to the show due to the accident. According to him, he was coming from a show in Ajao Estate where he had gone to support one of the upcoming DJs in the area.
They sustained minor injuries from the accident.
